Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration in Wesley Chapel and Tampa Bay
After a fire, the flames are only part of the damage. Soot settles on every surface, smoke odor works into drywall, insulation, and air ducts, and the water used to put the fire out can leave moisture behind that turns into mold. AIM 4 Clean Air helps homeowners understand what happened and get the home clean, dry, and livable again.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If there is an active fire or you smell gas, call 911 first.
What a fire leaves behind
Fire Damage Is More Than What You Can See
A house fire affects the air, the surfaces, and the structure. Here is what we look for.
Soot on every surface
Fine soot particles settle on walls, ceilings, furniture, and electronics. Left alone, soot can stain permanently and spread each time it is disturbed.
Smoke odor that will not leave
Smoke absorbs into porous materials such as drywall, insulation, carpet, and upholstery. Air fresheners cover it for a day; the source has to be found and treated.
Water and moisture from firefighting
The water used to put out a fire soaks into walls and floors. The EPA notes mold can begin to grow on damp materials within 24 to 48 hours.
Damage you cannot see
Smoke and soot travel through wall cavities, attics, and HVAC systems, so rooms far from the fire can be affected too.
Our process
How We Restore a Home After a Fire
Call and assessment
Tell us what happened. We inspect the affected rooms, note where soot and smoke have traveled, and check for moisture.
Safety first
We recommend confirming with your fire department that the structure is safe to enter, and we plan around any areas that are not.
Soot and debris cleanup
Depending on the damage, we remove soot from surfaces and take out materials that cannot be cleaned.
Smoke odor and air quality
We treat the source of the odor and clean the air so the home smells and feels clean again, not just masked.
Dry, restore, and document
We make sure materials are dry to prevent mold, and give you photos and written notes you can share with your insurance adjuster.

Training and credentials
Fire and Smoke Restoration Is a Specialty
Cleaning up after a fire is different from cleaning up after mold or a leak, and it has its own training. Our founder, Domingo Sanchez, is working toward Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician certification, and we will update this page the day it is complete.
Credentials he holds today: NORMI Certified Mold Remediator (CMR #13783) and Florida mold-related services license MRSR5367. We are active NORMI and ISSA members, and fire and smoke damage often brings moisture and mold with it, which is exactly what we are licensed to handle.
Questions homeowners ask
Fire and Smoke Damage FAQ
Can smoke damage be cleaned, or does everything have to be replaced?
It depends on the material and how heavily it was exposed. Hard, non-porous surfaces can often be cleaned. Porous materials such as insulation, carpet, and some drywall may need to be removed if smoke and soot have soaked in. An on-site assessment is the only reliable way to tell which is which, and we will explain what we find before any work begins.
How soon can mold start growing after a fire?
Firefighting leaves water and humidity behind, and the EPA notes that mold can begin to grow on damp materials within 24 to 48 hours. In Florida’s climate that window is real, which is why we look at moisture and mold risk as part of a fire and smoke assessment, not only at the soot.
Is it safe to stay in my home after a fire?
Start by asking your fire department whether the structure is safe to enter. Even when it is, lingering smoke odor and soot particles can irritate the lungs, so many families stay elsewhere until cleanup is finished. If anyone in your home has asthma or allergies, be extra cautious.
Can you help with my insurance claim?
We document the damage with photos and clear written notes that you can share with your insurance adjuster. Your insurance company decides what is covered, so call them early and keep your own records of anything that was damaged.
Are you certified in fire and smoke restoration?
Not yet. Our founder, Domingo Sanchez, is working toward Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician certification, and we will update this page when it is complete. In the meantime he is a NORMI Certified Mold Remediator (CMR #13783) and holds Florida mold-related services license MRSR5367.
